Job summary

C.A.C. Industries, Inc. in Long Island City, NY is seeking a hands-on Senior Payroll Manager to lead weekly payroll for a large, labor-intensive construction workforce.

You will ensure compliance with union collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll reporting while leveraging CMiC for complex payroll processing and reporting. The role also involves mentoring staff and collaborating with PMs, HR, and Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive payroll leadership experience.
• Experience in the construction industry with union payroll familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, labor distribution, and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 750+ employees, including union and non-union personnel.
• Ensure weekly payroll accuracy and compliance with union agreements and prevailing wage laws.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting and government wage compliance.
• Review timekeeping, labor allocations, and job cost coding for payroll accuracy.
• Mentor payroll staff and coordinate with Project Managers, HR, and Accounting.
