Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Principal Engineer to join our Dallas field services team. You will oversee projects, review technical reports, and help drive proposals from kickoff to final review while upholding ECS quality standards.

You will mentor staff, develop the team, lead client meetings, market services, and help grow ECS in the local market with strong leadership and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• A minimum of 12 full years of relevant experience, including drafting, reviewing, and approving technical reports.
• Professional licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG).
• Senior reviewer designation at your current or previous firm; details shared at interview.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications for compliance with laws.
• Demonstrated technical competence, leadership, safety, and professionalism.
• Proven track record in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Expert knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance if driving for ECS.
• Strong marketing skills with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships in the local market.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CMT projects, review technical reports, prepare and review proposals, and assist with department P&L management.
• Provide technical expertise by reviewing reports and mentoring staff.
• Mentor junior project managers and support staffing decisions with other managers and recruiters.
• Host or attend project meetings with clients and provide technical resolutions.
• Market ECS services and grow client relationships in the local market.
