Job summary

Lefferts, a Miami-based real estate developer, seeks a Construction Manager/Senior Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex real estate development projects throughout South Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on construction experience, especially in high-rise residential, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, and multifamily developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
Experience managing high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, multifamily, or commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of construction from pre-development through project completion and turnover.
Act as the Owner's Representative on assigned projects.
Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and governmental agencies.
Review construction drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, and consultant reports.
Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule delays, budget impacts, and construction risks.
Participate in contractor prequalification, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and award recommendations.
Lead regular project meetings and provide detailed status reports to ownership and senior management.
Review and evaluate change orders, contractor pay applications, RFIs, and project reporting.
Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control, forecasting, and value engineering initiatives.
Coordinate permitting efforts and work directly with municipalities to facilitate approvals and inspections.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and oversee construction quality and progress.
Coordinate lender inspections and reporting requirements as necessary.
Facilitate project closeout, punch list completion, TCO, and Final CO processes.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, constructability reviews, and risk management.
Support acquisition, development, and asset management teams during project execution.
