Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager within our Buildings US California team in San Francisco, CA. You will guide planning, design, and construction phases, collaborating with clients, design and construction teams, and a strong project leadership group to deliver award‑winning, financially responsible designs.

You will mentor teams, manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with design intent and client expectations across multiple large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture required. Registered Architect is required.
• 10+ years of experience in architecture project management with complex buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tasks on large, multi-faceted projects.
• Win work in interviews for potential projects.
• Plan, organize, and direct project work to deliver to client.
• Keep Principal in Charge informed of progress and constraints.
• Lead design to meet budget, schedule, and design intent.
• Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and work plan.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and motivate teams.
• Coordinate meetings with client, internal, and external teams.
• Manage change orders and contract modifications affecting budget/schedule.
• Determine staffing with Operations Manager and manage hiring.
