Job summary

AVERILL HOSPITALITY EMPLOYMENT seeks a senior construction leader to join its development team in Montana. You will be the main link between ownership and the general contractor, driving accurate estimates, builds to plan, and on-budget delivery.

You will dig into drawings to propose cost-saving, time-saving alternatives, then present options to the design team, GC, and ownership for fast decisions. Travel between Whitefish and Missoula is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial construction with estimating and PM experience.
• Ability to read and analyze architectural/structural/MEP drawings in detail.
• Proven value engineering and constructability savings with numbers.
• Strong negotiation and coordination with architects, engineers, and GC.
• Hotel development or renovation experience preferred; relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed estimates and budgets from concept through documents.
• Lead preconstruction reviews and VE sessions at each design milestone.
• Prepare bid packages, qualify GCs, level bids, and negotiate contracts.
• Manage day-to-day projects: meetings, RFIs, submittals, change orders.
• Track costs, lien waivers, and draw packages; report to ownership monthly.
• Coordinate brand standards, FF&E/OS&E purchasing, and renovations.
• Work with city staff on permits and inspections; close out projects.
