Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Shareholder to join a well-established practice focusing on complex disputes for contractors, owners, sureties, and design professionals. The role offers leadership across case strategy, client relations, and business development in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has substantial construction‑law litigation background, excellent advocacy skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in MO, IL, OR, or FL.
• Extensive litigation experience with emphasis on construction law preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, lien law, and surety/bond claims.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills with courtroom/deposition experience.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from assessment to discovery, motions, trial, and appeal.
• Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, liens, bonds, and contracts.
• Advise on risk management and contract drafting to prevent disputes.
• Take and defend depositions, draft dispositive motions, and prepare for arbitration or trial.
• Collaborate with experienced litigators and support staff on complex matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and participate in business development.
