Job summary

Coakley & Williams Construction, LLC in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site operations for multi-family and commercial base-building projects. You will work with Project Managers to ensure safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and daily execution from preconstruction through closeout.

The role requires a field leader with experience managing complex construction, disciplined project controls, and a proven track record of delivering projects safely,

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of experience managing construction projects valued over $20 million.
• Experience leading field operations for complex multi-family, commercial, government, public-sector, institutional, or full base-building projects.
• Proven track record of client satisfaction, profitability, safety, quality, and schedule management.
• OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Understanding of Primavera scheduling and BIM.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret contracts and coordinate field activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction operations for multi-family and commercial base-building projects.
• Enforce safety programs and regulatory requirements, promoting a zero-incident culture.
• Structure project teams with PMs, assign responsibilities, coordinate schedules and resources.
• Participate in preconstruction, bidding, and constructability reviews, providing field input.
• Develop and update project schedules with PMs and schedulers, including milestones and turnover.
• Review documents, subcontracts, and RFIs to prevent scope gaps and minimize changes.
• Coordinate with owners, agencies, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
