Job summary

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is seeking a Sr Inspector, Construction (Street Maintenance) to perform a variety of inspection activities for street projects. The role is full-time with a base salary around the anticipated range and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend complex environmental regulations.
• Proficiency with PC and related devices (laptop/tablet).
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, Access.
• ArcGIS and GPS software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect street maintenance projects for compliance with codes and plans.
• Review construction plans and engineering documents for compliance.
• Conduct field investigations and report findings.
• Maintain logs and write reports on inspection activities.
• Explain ordinances and coordinate with agencies during inspections.
• Inspect erosion control measures and project sites for compliance.
• Interpret blueprints and oversee contractor work to meet specifications.
• Ensure workmanship and materials meet project specs.
