Job summary

TxDOT Fort Worth District is seeking Construction Inspector III/IV to join our construction team. You will inspect roadways and bridges, review plans, mentor staff, and lead inspections across a variety of projects in our district.

We employ over 13,000 people and offer training, career development, and a broad benefits package. This role requires weekend/holiday work, driver license, and Safety Impact certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years (III) or 3 years (IV) in construction/inspection.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license; Safety Impact Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning, data collection, inspections and analysis for plan development.
• Review records to ensure contractors build to plans and specs.
• Mentor less experienced inspectors on methods and procedures.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and respond to questions from attendees.
• Coordinate inspections with district/project managers.
