Job summary

TxDOT\'s Laredo District is seeking a Construction Inspector I to monitor road, bridge, and related highway projects for compliance with plans and specifications. You will perform field inspections, document progress, and coordinate with contractors under a licensed engineer\'s guidance.

This full-time, onsite role requires a valid US driver\'s license, ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid US driver\'s license.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects construction methods and workmanship to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Monitors project progress and safety standards; coordinates with contractors and engineers.
• Performs materials tests and inspections as needed.
• Documents work progress and issues arising throughout the scope of the project.
• Calculates payments and reviews change orders as required.
