T&M Associates seeks a Principal Construction Inspector to base in Mt. Laurel, NJ, serving as the Owner’s representative on municipal and county projects within a one-hour travel radius.

This senior role ensures work conforms to approved plans, specs, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include on-site inspection, documentation, and coordination with contractors and municipal staff, with opportunities to guide junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive construction inspection experience on municipal/public works projects.
• PE license or NICET Levels I–III preferred.
• Experience with public works, roadway, utility, grading, and drainage projects.
• Knowledge of zoning, subdivision, and land development regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Owner’s on-site representative during construction.
• Perform inspection and administration for roadway reconstruction, utilities, water/sewer, concrete work, grading, drainage, and site development.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports and inspection documentation.
• Identify and resolve field issues while coordinating with contractors, project managers, and municipal representatives.
• Provide guidance or oversight to junior inspectors or project team members when needed.
