Job summary

T&M Associates in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking a Supervising Construction Inspector to serve as the Owner's on-site representative for municipal and county projects within a one-hour travel radius.

This senior role requires leading inspection teams, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and regulations, and preparing detailed daily reports, with a competitive salary and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive construction inspection experience on municipal/public works projects.
• PE license or NICET Levels I-IV preferred.
• Experience with public works, roadway, utility, grading, and drainage projects.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's on-site representative during construction.
• Perform inspection and administration for roadway reconstruction, utilities, water/sewer, concrete work, grading, drainage, and site development.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans, specs, and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports and inspection documentation.
• Identify and resolve field issues with contractors and project managers.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors when needed.
