Job summary

Dewberry is seeking multiple Senior Construction Inspectors to support projects in the greater NYC metropolitan area. Qualified candidates will have extensive NYCDDC/NYSTA inspection experience and NICET II–IV certification, with additional DDC Water Main Training and related credentials.

The role requires strong communication, ability to read plans and perform complex computations, and the stamina to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years prior construction inspection experience on NYCDDC or NYSTA projects.
Must possess NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
OSHA 10 hour certification
DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of SiteManager are also desirable.
Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
Ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Inspect NYCDDC/NYSTA projects across the greater NYC metro area.
Read, interpret plans and specs; perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
Maintain OSHA compliance; coordinate with contractors and agency inspectors daily.
