Tectonic Engineering in Mountainville, NY, seeks a seasoned Chief Inspector for Hudson Valley and Catskills projects. You will supervise inspectors, coordinate field operations, and ensure that construction work complies with contract documents and DOT standards.

The role requires at least 6 years in civil/highway engineering with a year in supervision, NYSDOT experience, and valid licensure (NY PE, NICET IV). Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 years in civil/highway engineering, at least 1 year in supervision.
• Must hold NYSDOT project experience or similar public agency experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to project sites.
• OSHA Safety Certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and track progress of construction projects.
• Advise inspectors on project management and inspection issues.
• Prepare construction documents and records; ensure compliance with budget and contract documents.
• Maintain project records and provide assurance to clients on conformance with specifications.
