Oregon Department of Transportation in Ontario, Oregon, is seeking an Engineering Specialist 2 – Construction Inspector 4 to perform routine field, office and inspection work on transportation projects. You will ensure daily contract compliance and proper contractor documentation to safeguard the traveling public.

The role includes directing inspection and survey activities, reviewing data, and traveling to project sites. Hybrid work is available; first screening is scheduled for 9 a.m.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the field of engineering in construction inspection, surveying and/or related to construction contract administration;
• An associate degree in the field of engineering (civil or transportation-related) and one year of engineering technician experience;
• A bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering (civil or transportation-related);

Responsabilités

• Perform routine field, office and inspection work on transportation, construction and maintenance projects.
• Ensure daily contract compliance, contract administration and contractor documentation by directing inspection and survey personnel.
• Direct field and construction surveying activities on a crew.
