Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an on-site Construction Inspector to oversee multiple activities across the project, verify alignment with plans, and document daily progress in Beckley, WV and surrounding locations. You will monitor contractor work, perform on-site testing, and maintain daily logs to ensure quality and schedule compliance.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED with extensive construction-related experience, plus necessary jurisdictional certificates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform complicated mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
