Job summary

HNTB is seeking an on-site Construction Inspector to monitor and document contractor activities for adherence to plans and specifications. You will maintain daily logs, perform standard calculations, and support material testing on various projects in Beckley, WV and surrounding locations.

Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of construction-related experience and relevant state certifications. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
