Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Construction Inspector to support LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program, performing inspections of major civil projects under a prevailing wage. The role requires extensive knowledge of LA City/County standards and Cal-Trans specs, and the ability to coordinate with a large team of inspectors.

The selected candidate must hold LADBS grading or post-tensioning licenses, Cal-OSHA 30-hour training, and have 10+ years in public works inspection or equivalent

Qualifications

• Current LADBS Grading Deputy or Deputy Post-Tensioning license.
• Cal-OSHA 30-hour training completed within last 4 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years inspecting Cal-Trans bridge/roadway/structures, or 10 years as Superintendent on such projects.
• Minimum 10 years in public works field inspection, especially heavy civil/roadway.

Responsibilities

• Inspect major reinforced concrete structures, pile foundations, roads, and bridges across jurisdictions.
• Inspect sanitary sewer and storm drain installations per City/County of Los Angeles standards.
• Inspect exterior walls, roofing, framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, doors, and hardware.
• Inspect street lighting and traffic signal installations per LA Bureau of Street Lighting and LADOT specs.
• Apply City of Los Angeles and Cal-Trans standards in inspections.
