Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Construction Inspector role at WSB.

We are seeking a professional CEI Senior Inspector to join our highway team, working alongside technical experts to develop new techniques and standards. The role involves mentoring early professionals and assisting resident engineers and project administrators in inspection tasks according to project and client specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring on-site construction activities.
• Inspecting materials in accordance with client specifications, transporting samples for testing.
• Maintaining detailed records of daily operations and significant events.
• Preparing daily inspection reports.
• Monitoring and inspecting Work Zone Traffic Control.
• Performing inspections of contractor’s quality control procedures.
• Conducting material testing and verifying procedures are in conformance.
• Reviewing material testing results and measuring material quantities.
• Performing sampling and in-place testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge projects.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• CTQP Level II Certifications, including Final Estimates Level I, Concrete Field Technician Level I, Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges), Asphalt Roadway Level I & II, Earthwork Inspection Level I & II, Pile Driving Inspection, Drilled Shaft Inspection.
• Additional certifications: FDOT Intermediate MOT, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, Nuclear Radiation Safety, Stormwater/Erosion/Sedimentation Control.
