HDR is hiring a Senior Construction Inspector

to work as a member of our Florida CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) program. This is a great opportunity to work on fast-paced, short duration projects within Florida. The inspector will primarily work independently on FDOT projects including milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. They will interact daily with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel. This position offers upward mobility and long-term employment with a fast-growing, employee-owned company, located in the Miami, Florida area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability for some night, holiday, and weekend work as needed
• Technical School or Associate's Degree
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway and/or bridge construction inspection
• Local candidate preferred
• Industry certifications (strongly preferred):
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Levels I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • FOOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification
  • Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Successful passing of drug screening prior to employment, with ongoing random testing
