Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Construction Inspector in Indiana to oversee daily inspection of contractor activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications and maintaining detailed daily logs. The role includes on-site material testing, recording discrepancies, and reviewing changes with the Field Engineer.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED with substantial construction experience and hold the required jurisdictional certificates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (minimum requirement).
• 6 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform measurements and calculations of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
