Hitachi Rail is seeking a seasoned Business Affairs Counsel based in Pittsburgh, PA. The role requires leading legal support across US projects, from contracts to compliance and dispute resolution, with collaboration across the US, Canada and Europe.

The candidate will negotiate complex documentation, assess risks, and advise on financial securities, bonds, and warranties within major infrastructure programs. A law degree and extensive US practice are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Law degree from an accredited institution; membership in a Law Society.
• Minimum 8 years of law practice experience within the United States.
• Experience with construction/contracts and commercial transactions.

Aufgaben

• Provide contractual and risk advice in the United States regarding business development, project procurement and formation, project execution, claims and compliance.
• Develop and negotiate contractual documentation and coordinate with teams in US, Canada and Europe.
• Provide legal support for our business and oversee dispute litigation involving company operations.
• Direct and oversee risk and contractual aspects of Financial Close on projects; advise on bonds, warranties and other securities.
