Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support North American operations.

The role provides legal advice across business, commercial, litigation, risk, and compliance matters and involves drafting complex agreements, managing disputes, and guiding governance and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with leaders and legal colleagues across regions to develop practical strategies that grow the business while mitigating risks.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to a State Bar (NC or another).
• U.S. work authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 8 years of directly related legal experience.
• Experience advising on product liability matters and commercial litigation; global matters preferred.
• Strong judgment, business sense, risk assessment, and ability to provide practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to influence stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal advice across a broad range of business, commercial, litigation, risk, and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across multiple units.
• Participate in risk reviews and support risk management activities.
• Identify emerging legal issues and develop practical strategies and guidance for business priorities.
• Assist with corporate governance and Code of Conduct implementation.
• Manage outside counsel to ensure efficient legal services.
• Deliver legal training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
• Monitor applicable laws and regulations to protect business interests and reputation.
