Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations, including ledgers, payroll, payables, receivables, and reconciliations.

This position partners closely with the CFO to guide financial strategy and ensure accurate reporting for multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 7+ years of experience in job-costing environments, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 7+ years of related accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and internal controls.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with outside accountants.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for projects.
• Ensure internal controls and accurate job costing.
• Collaborate with CFO and operations for financial strategy.
