Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead daily financial operations at our Newark, NJ headquarters. You will supervise accounting, AP/AR, payroll oversight, job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to drive profitability.

Responsibilities include overseeing AP/AR, reconciliations, AIA billing, and coordinating with project managers. A strong background in construction accounting, internal controls, and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance or construction accounting
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Knowledge of financial reporting and internal controls
• Proven ability to manage, train, and develop staff
• Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Monitor job costing, project budgets, profitability and WIP
• Prepare monthly forecasts, profitability studies and financial reports
• Manage collections and AIA billing and requisitions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors
• Oversee KPI programs and develop SOPs
• Mentor accounting personnel and support company objectives
