Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, seeks a Finance Manager to oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, AP/AR, payroll oversight, job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

The role collaborates with Project Managers and Purchasing to review budgets, manage cash flow, prepare forecasts, ensure internal controls, and coordinate with outside accountants. A strong leadership track record is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting, finance, or construction accounting.
• Strong job costing, financial reporting and internal controls knowledge.
• Proven ability to train and develop staff.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Monitor job costing, project budgets, profitability, and WIP reporting.
• Prepare forecasts, profitability analyses, and monthly financial reports.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as needed.
• Lead and develop accounting personnel and implement controls.
