Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Senior Construction Financial Analyst to oversee day-to-day financial responsibilities for capital construction projects within FAS, supporting Capital Construction Planning and providing monthly reporting. The role collaborates with CAPS, CAPS and OPM teams, ensuring project budgets and contracts are managed accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience.
• Experience in construction project management, higher education finance, or non-profit management is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with data query tools (Pivot tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliation of capital construction costs and A/P adjustments.
• Process journals and upload monthly charges into PRESTO.
• Provide financial analysis for the $1.5B FAS Multi-Year Capital Construction Plan.
• Collaborate with FAS Finance and FAS Development to track equity-financed project funding.
• Use FROPS to plan faculty searches and update budget data.
• Provide financial assistance on capital projects managed by OPMs.
