Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Post-secondary Construction Engineering Technology or BSc in Quantity Surveying is expected.
• 5–10 years of estimating for commercial, institutional, and/or industrial buildings.
• Experience with estimating and costing for structural concrete and structural steel systems.
• Estimating projects from 5M to 50M.
• Conceptual estimating from written or verbal instructions.
• Experience with on-screen take-off software.
• Knowledge of subcontractor scopes, estimating techniques and costing.
• MS Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software knowledge.
• Earthwork take-off programs (e.g., Agtek) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage, evaluate and assess information to construct the project on time, within budget and per contract quality.
• Conduct site investigations and quantity/material takeoffs.
• Prepare estimates and schedules for tendering reviews.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control.
• Coordinate with sub-trades and suppliers for quotations.
• Participate in tender closings and compile tenders.
