Job summary

China-Connect Logistics Limited in Richland, WA seeks a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to manage, evaluate and assess information to deliver projects on time, within budget and per contract documents.

You will perform site takeoffs, budgeting and tender preparation, and coordinate with sub-trades for quotations.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying and 5–10 years of estimating experience on commercial, institutional or industrial jobs, including 5M to 50M projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 5–10 years estimating Commercial, Institutional and/or Industrial buildings.
• Experience with estimating structural concrete and structural steel systems.
• Estimating projects ranging from 5M to 50M.
• Ability to perform conceptual estimating from instructions.
• Experience with onscreen take-off software.
• Advanced knowledge of sub-contractor scopes and costing.
• Proficiency with MS Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Experience with Earthwork take-off programs (Agtek or equivalent) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Site investigations.
• Quantity/Material takeoff.
• Check estimates for extensions, accuracy, and errors.
• Prepare estimate schedules for tendering reviews.
• Budgeting/Costing.
• Contact sub-trades and suppliers for quotations.
• Participate in tender closings.
• Condense successful and unsuccessful tenders.
• Follow up with invited Sub-Contractors/Suppliers to quote.
• Maintain unit price and productivity knowledge.
