Job summary

Jobot's Milwaukee-based general contractor seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure bids are comprehensive and aligned with goals.

You will analyze drawings, solicit quotes, participate in bid strategy, maintain historical cost data, and help transition from preconstruction to execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Fluent with estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and project handoffs.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to execution.
