Job summary

Achievers USA is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for projects in the East Tennessee region, including Knoxville. You will collaborate with leadership, project managers, and superintendents to develop budgets, procure subcontractors, and drive bids from early budgeting through award.

This role is ideal for an experienced estimator who wants ownership of project estimating and a pivotal role in preconstruction strategy and planning.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Construction Estimating experience (Required).
• 5+ years estimating commercial/multi-family construction.
• Strong experience with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bidding.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing scopes of work and assembling bid packages.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid summaries.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor bidding from solicitation through award.
• Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and procurement documents.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure accurate pricing and scope coverage.
• Coordinate site walks and bidder communications.
• Perform cost analysis and support value engineering during preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships and cost history database.
• Coordinate project handoff to project management and field teams prior to construction.
