Choate Construction Company in Nashville seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction phase with clarity, discipline, and collaboration. You will oversee estimating, bidding, scheduling, and contracting to ensure accurate, competitive cost objectives while aligning client expectations with project realities.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of construction experience and about 3 years of hands-on estimating, with proven ability to build trusted client and partner relationships

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of total construction experience.
• Approximately 3 years of hands-on estimating experience.
• Ability to lead preconstruction, including estimating, bidding, scheduling, and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee estimating, bidding, scheduling, and contracting activities.
• Coordinate with Director of Preconstruction and Project Management.
• Develop detailed estimates, cost models, and bid strategies.
• Align client expectations with project strategy and operational realities.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to pursuits and business development.
• Mentor and develop team members and stay current with industry trends.
