Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator for our Boise, ID operations. The role focuses on preparing comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and cost control.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in construction estimation, experience with MTO, and leadership capability to mentor junior estimators. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits. Must be detail-oriented and collaborative with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in construction with focus on project estimation.
• Experience with Material Take Off (MTO).
• Proven leadership skills to mentor a team.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related costs.
• Conduct a thorough Material Take Off (MTO) for each project, ensuring all necessary materials are accounted for in the project budget.
• Use cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and advise the project management team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators, fostering growth and development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate knowledge into cost estimates.
• Present and explain project budgets to clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in project bidding processes with accurate estimates.
