Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare design/build and related estimates. You will analyze quotations, evaluate subcontractor bids, enter quantity take-offs and material pricing, and develop subcontractor scopes for project completeness.

The role requires 8 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and may involve 20%–40% travel. Strong communication and computer skills are essential. Some estimating software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day.
• Evaluates bids from sub-contractors and suppliers for scope, time, and compliance.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricing for projects.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews for completeness.
