O’Neil Construction is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Estimator to lead our estimating department, shaping processes, mentoring staff, and influencing project budgets across sectors. This employee-owned firm values collaboration and strategic cost input to drive project success.

The role emphasizes leadership, client-facing budgets, and ongoing process improvement within a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5 to 10+ years of construction estimating experience.
Experience estimating from schematic design through design development.
Change-order management experience.
Knowledge of historical pricing and cost databases.
Experience leading stakeholder meetings.
Estimating knowledge across all CSI trade divisions.
M/E/P are pluses.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimates and take-offs for Hospitality, Multifamily, Commercial, Healthcare, K-12, and Higher Education.
Manage estimating during Conceptual, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Change Orders phases.
Mentor junior estimators and develop estimating team; implement best practices.
Present budgets to owners/design teams and lead cost strategy discussions.
Influence design decisions through real-time cost input.
Lead stakeholder meetings and support project pursuits.
