Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction is seeking an Estimator in Pleasanton, CA to be a key team member supporting multiple preconstruction efforts and lead estimator on specific bid efforts.

The role requires strong cost analysis, subcontractor coordination, and an eye for value analysis during Design Development and Construction Document phases. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with project teams, construction methods, and a solid understanding of budgeting, insurance, contingencies, and risk

Qualifications

• Lead estimator on specific bid efforts within preconstruction.
• Strong understanding of CPM schedules, procurement lead times and critical path.
• Experience developing subcontractor scopes from plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple preconstruction efforts as a key estimator.
• Develop and analyze subcontractor proposals for cost implications.
• Coordinate with project engineers, managers and executives on estimates.

Education

Four-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
