Job summary

Interwest Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of complete estimates and proposals from concept sketches to construction drawings.

You will work under the Chief Estimator and coordinate with design teams to interpret concepts for design-build pursuits, using HCSS Heavy Bid and Bluebeam Revu. Ideal candidates have 5+ years estimating projects over $5 million, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Construction Management, Business Management or Civil Engineering degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in estimating projects exceeding $5 million.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid Software
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu Software

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities.
• Prepares construction estimate by studying plans and specifications and projecting costs for each item.
• Review bid documents prior to bid day to assist estimating support staff.
• Identify, solicit, and obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors.
• Visit proposed project sites prior to completing estimates when possible.
• Assist PM/PE and project team with project buyout on successful bids.
• Coordinate with design teams to interpret design concepts during design-build pursuits.
