Job summary

Anchor Construction is seeking an experienced construction estimator to lead estimates, budgets, and schedules from opportunity through execution. You will communicate with clients upfront, manage SOQs, and coordinate handoffs to project management after award.

You will also solicit subcontractor bids, build out sales processes, and stay informed on building methods and materials to inform proposals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams) and other industry software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Lead upfront client communications on potential projects.
• Manage SOQ preparation for proposals.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and collect notes for proposals.
• Coordinate handoffs to Operations Project Manager after award.
• Solicit proposals from subcontractors.
• Streamline sales processes and research building methods/materials.
• Manage subcontractor selection and bid reviews.
• Create construction budgets and schedules; assist with contract documents.
• Participate in project meetings; understand client needs; assist with RFIs.
