Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Equipment Operations Coordinator to support First Equipment Company (FEC) with tools, fleet, and equipment logistics at project sites in New York, NY. You will help ensure equipment is available, safe, and functional, while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 2+ years in construction logistics, familiarity with safety practices, and proficiency with ERP/inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; HS Diploma accepted with relevant experience
• Basic understanding of construction equipment and jobsite logistics
• Familiar with safety practices related to equipment handling
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in data entry and ERP/inventory systems

Responsibilities

• Support FEC equipment operations including daily activities for receiving, staging, organizing, and tracking tools and equipment
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment to and from project sites
• Perform basic equipment inspections and minor maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate inventory records and data entry in ERP and inventory systems
• Support equipment scheduling and preventive maintenance
• Assist with equipment check-in/out and tracking usage
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements
• Lift and move heavy items and travel to job sites as needed
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce downtime
