Job summary

HDR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Construction Engineer to join our team in Texas. You will provide on-site construction observation, documentation, quality oversight, and coordination to ensure projects meet contract documents, plans, and standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, coordinating inspectors and subcontractors, and supporting multiple disciplines to deliver high-quality highway construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• 10 years related experience in various aspects of construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and management oversight for the development and construction of various quality construction projects.
• Prepare project budgets and schedules.
• Plan, prepare and analyze documents, and manage construction contracts.
• Coordinate and manage project quality assurance and control, and inspection services.
• Coordinate and manage survey and layout work in the field.
