PowerN in North Carolina seeks an experienced Owner’s Representative Construction Manager to implement our technology on complex energy projects, overseeing site construction from mobilization through completion to ensure schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met. You will work with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, coordinating changes and documenting progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in CM or engineering disciplines.
  • 3–5 years of construction management experience in power/utility/EPC projects in the US.
  • Proficiency in project controls, scheduling, quality management, and supply chain oversight.

Job description

As an Owner’s Representative Construction Manager, you will implement PowerN’s technology to help deliver complex energy projects, such as transmission/substations and power plants. Using our technology, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing site construction activities from project mobilization through completion, helping ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and site personnel, you will help identify and mitigate risks and deliver projects successfully.

Your main responsibility is to use PowerN’s technology to do the following:

  • General construction management support as an owner’s representative.
  • Monitor, record, and analyze project progress and schedule performance
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction personnel to monitor and ensure quality outcomes and on-time project delivery.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts to address constructability considerations and project execution challenges.
  • Capture as-built conditions by utilizing reality capture technologies and compare with as-design models and plans for progress reporting and as-built documentation.
  • Manage change orders, risk mitigation activities, and project documentation throughout construction execution.
  • Support commissioning and project closeout activities to enable successful project handover.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with PowerN’s software development to suggest improvements to user interface and experience and new features.
Required Qualifications:
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for PowerN in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of construction management experience, preferably within power, utility, industrial, transmission, substation, or EPC projects in the US.
  • Proficiency in project controls and oversight, scheduling, quality management and assurance, and supply chain and manufacturing oversight.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Experiences
  • Familiarity with regulatory management
  • Proficiency with project management software, such as Primavera P6
  • Experience with BIM software, such as Revit
Plus:
  • Familiarity with reality capture devices: 360-degree cameras, laser scanners, and drones
