Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Senior Construction Electrical Engineer to act as the technical lead for electrical engineering support across construction and commissioning for power projects.

You will guide installation, testing, and commissioning of AC/DC systems, ensure compliance with Mitsubishi standards and codes, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with vendors and contractors to deliver safe, compliant projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years' experience with gas turbine, CCGT, or large power-generation electrical systems.
• Deep experience with GT controls, excitation systems, relays, protection, high-voltage distribution equipment, and commissioning practices.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary electrical technical authority for construction and commissioning.
• Develop and approve electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Review complex electrical drawings, protection schemes, and equipment data for compliance.
• Lead resolution of site and design issues including protection, controls, and integration.
• Provide technical direction to Site Managers, contractors, and vendors.
• Mentor engineers and drive standardization of electrical procedures.
