Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Lake Mary, FL, to lead the development of electrical systems for gas turbine projects.

This role involves creating designs compliant with standards, collaborating across various engineering teams, and providing mentorship. Ideal candidates will have over ten years of experience and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of technical and practical experience in industrial facility power distribution design.
• Experience with large power plant generators (150 MVA ratings and above) for gas or steam turbines is preferred.
• Knowledge or interest in computer programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems based on Mitsubishi Power’s electrical design standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical equipment into project designs.
• Prepare and review specifications for electrical components.

Skills

Expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems

Design and develop electrical power distribution networks

Strong knowledge of electrical codes including NEC/NFPA 70

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
