Qualifications

• Seven years’ experience adjudicating high-exposure construction defect claims.
• Bachelor’s degree required; professional designations may substitute.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain others within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at the highest authority with broad oversight.
• Gather, analyze, and investigate information to resolve issues.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Analyze forms, endorsements, and client instructions for policy coverage.
• Manage litigation and ensure timely conclusions.
• Set reserves considering policy wordings.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce frequency.
• Coordinate experts to aid case resolution.
• Prepare file documentation reports.
• Negotiate complex settlements within authority.
• Handle mail and communications with insured and claimants.
• Maintain strong client relationships and passion for claim management.
