Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience adjudicating commercial general liability claims may substitute for a degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions and ability to obtain additional licenses within 120 days.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how an insurance company operates.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims with high legal and financial impact.
• Analyze claims forms, endorsements, and client instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims promptly, interview involved parties, and document findings.
• Manage claims in litigation and coordinate expert resources as needed.
• Set reserves and assess financial outcomes to optimize settlements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for file documentation and stakeholders.
• Negotiate complex settlements within authority to achieve favorable results.
