Michels Corporation is seeking an experienced construction attorney who can serve as a strategic business-minded partner, not just a legal advisor. You will drive complex contracts and provide practical guidance for North America’s large energy, transportation, and infrastructure projects.

The Senior Legal Counsel will collaborate across the organization to manage enterprise-level transactions, align legal strategy with business goals, and uphold strict confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• JD from accredited law school and active Bar license in at least one US state.
• 5-8 years minimum of construction law experience and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and structure complex construction, design-build, EPC, engineering, and general contracting and subcontracting agreements.
• Advise on managing project risks, contract strategy, claims, change orders, and dispute resolution.
• Help guide major projects from pursuit and procurement through execution and closeout.
• Deliver practical, business-focused legal counsel that drives successful project outcomes.]
• Cooperate with colleagues across the organization to provide timely and strategic legal guidance.
