Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Cost Manager in Corpus Christi to oversee estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for complex construction programs. You will lead a cost team and partner with project managers to align with client objectives.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in construction cost management, strong leadership, and expertise in EVMS, estimating, and project controls. This role demands strategic thinking and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction cost management, cost engineering, estimating or controls.
• Proven leadership in managing cost control teams on large programs.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency with cost management, estimating, and project controls software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project cost management: estimating, budgeting, cost control, cash flow, forecasting, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain budgets, cost plans, and forecasting models across the project lifecycle.
• Monitor expenditures, identify cost risks, and implement corrective actions to stay within budget.
• Analyze specs, drawings, schedules, and scope for accurate projections.
• Provide detailed cost reporting and performance metrics to leadership and clients.
• Lead and mentor cost engineers and cost control professionals; plan workload and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate with PM, accounting, scheduling, and project controls for integrated data.
• Support planning with cost trend analysis, variance, and risk assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost management processes and tools.
• Review cost deliverables prior to QC and client submission.
• Communicate sound judgment and strategic thinking on complex projects.
