Job summary

The University of Colorado's Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) department seeks an Estimator to act as a subject-matter expert in construction cost estimating. The role equips Planners, Engineers, and Project Managers to develop informed budgets early in project development.

As a coach and contributor on large capital projects, you will deliver targeted training, maintain a robust cost database, and support capitalization reports with Life Cycle Cost Analyses, driving data-driven decision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Construction Management or related field; experience substituted year-for-year allowed.
• 6+ years of construction cost estimating on capital projects $10M+ in budget across multiple design stages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a data-backed estimating cost model for early budget development.
• Build and maintain a project cost database with historical data and current market pricing.
• Provide training on cost model usage to Planners and Project Managers.
• Support procurement with independent cost perspectives on bids and proposals.
• Collaborate with Campus Controller's Office for Life Cycle Cost Analyses.
