Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Cost Estimator to deliver comprehensive project cost estimates from concept through pricing. You will analyze drawings, specs and data to reflect current trends and risks, and work with project teams to optimize outcomes.

You will contribute to value engineering, coordinate with preconstruction and procurement, and present data-driven recommendations to leaders to improve profitability and competitiveness across moderately complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, project controls, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed and accurate project cost estimates for moderately complex projects, incorporating material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs from concept through final pricing.
• Extracts production data for planning, scope alignment, and integration of family of companies to support project deliverables.
• Reviews project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Coordinates with Precon Coordinators, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to assemble comprehensive bid packages and provide clear instructions to bidders.
• Analyzes market trends, vendor pricing, and historical data to inform estimate development and risk assessment.
• Contributes to value engineering efforts by analyzing cost impacts and proposing alternative materials, methods, or solutions to enhance project value.
• Supports estimate reviews and documentation by organizing assumptions, qualifications, and clarifications to promote transparency and alignment with project objectives.
