Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise is seeking a Sr Construction Category Analyst II to lead global construction cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and risk evaluation for large semiconductor capital projects.

The role emphasizes data-driven sourcing advice, cross-functional collaboration, and the advancement of commercial rigor across CapEx programs. Boise-based, with optional Syracuse location per posting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years in cost management/controls, cost modeling, analytics and bid analytics within global construction capital projects (e.g., cleanroom, hospital, pharma, or high-tech manufacturing).
• Proven bid assessment experience (bid tabs, scope normalization, bid leveling) and delivery approaches (Cost Plus, GMP, Lump Sum, Unit-Rate/SOV, T&M).

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive bid analytics (RFP analysis, bid tabulation, scope alignment) for global construction and semiconductor infrastructure packages.
• Develop and maintain should-cost and clean-sheet models for fab, cleanroom, chemical building, and process-utility scopes.
• Analyze cost drivers and variances; create risk insights and dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Operations, and Project Controls to improve cost governance.
